- Qualified candidates are called for Interview by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for Admission to Army, Navy and Air Force Wings of the National Defence Academy.
- Candidature of all above mentioned candidates is provisional.

How to check UPSC NDA and NA 2016 Result?
- Psychological aptitude test and Intelligence test have been introduced at selection centers / Air force selection boards.
- Those who qualify first stage only can proceed to next stage.
- 320 Candidates are to be selected through the UPSC NDA and NA (I) 2016, and 410 through UPSC NDA and NA (II) 2016.
- UPSC NDA result is indicative of the qualified candidates, who have qualified on the basis of the UPSC results of the Written Examination held by the Union Public Service Commission on scheduled dates.
- This will be followed by Interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of National Defence Academy and Naval Academy for Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing.
- For detailed information regarding the actual date of commencement of the above courses, please visit the websites of Ministry of Defence i.e www. joinindianarmy. nic.in or indianarmy .gov.in.
- On the basis of the UPSC NDA result of the written part of the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination 2016 held by the Union Public Service Commission, candidates with the roll numbers mentioned in the NDA 2016 result list will have qualified for Interview by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence.

UPSC NDA and NA 1 Result 2016 for written examination was announced on 29 Jun 2016.
Candidates having their roll number mentioned in the NDA result are qualified for interview, on the basis of the UPSC NDA result of the written part of the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I) 2016 held by the Union Public Service Commission on 17th April, 2016.

Final Result of UPSC NDA & NA (I) has been announced around two months after interviews were held. Final result of UPSC NDA & NA indicates list of candidates who have been selected for admission to Army, Navy, Air Force wing of National Defence Academy, and Indian Naval Academy.
The mark-sheets of the candidates is available on the Commission’s website from 05 Dec 2016 after the publication of the final UPSC NDA result. (after concluding SSB Interviews) and will remain available on the website up to 05 Jan 2017.

UPSC has adopted a candidate friendly approach to allow easy access to results. As the UPSC NDA result is published online, candidate only needs access to computer and internet to know whether they have qualified or not. A pdf file containing list of roll numbers and names is published for the NDA / NA exams. The written exam was conducted at various centers across India. Result of written exam of the NDA NA 2016 exam is based on marks obtained in the test held earlier this year. Candidates must obtain cut off marks to qualify. The NDA cut off for NDA and NA 2016 is determined by UPSC.
